The GCBBT is the voice of business in Corner Brook and region. We lobby governments of all levels on behalf of the businesses in our membership. From behind closed doors and through public media releases, we get the message through loud and clear for the benefit of members. We seek your advice and direction on formulating messages to governments and regulatory bodies, to ensure our message is a true reflection of the membership`s opinion.

Lobby Support:

Help is available for your issues. Consult with us on how to deal with government departments.  From help in preparing a letter to government or politicians, to finding out who it is you should be talking to, let us assist you in making an effective approach on your issue while saving time, experiencing less frustration, and receiving help in cutting through red tape.

Advertising Opportunities:

  • The GCBBT has launched its power point slide show during its luncheons. This is a great opportunity for you to advertise yourself at our luncheon events. Each slide will be displayed for approximately 30 seconds. The slide show will be set up to repeat throughout the first ½ hour of networking and during the meal.
  • Our new web site will offer a number of membership privileges including company name listing with direct link to company website, and advertise your events and promotions through our blog.
  • Weekly e-newsletters are distributed to the GCBBT membership. Members may submit news and announcements/promotions on a weekly basis to be included in this e-newsletter.
  • GCBBT publishes a quarterly newsletter "Connections". • The GCBBT has just launched its Corporate Sponsorship Program. This program offers some exclusive benefits for companies that support it. This is a four-tiered program with a Chairman's Club, President's Club, Executive Club, and a Director's Club. There are various benefits at each level and all levels with the exception of the Director`s Club are sector exclusive.

Networking and Member Profile Enhancement:

  • The GCBBT regularly hosts luncheon meetings featuring guest speakers from across the province and across the country, speakers that are leaders in the industry. This provides an excellent opportunity to network with fellow members and prospective customers. A Business Mixer has a more casual atmosphere for networking.  It`s an excellent opportunity for a business, such as your business, to host a gathering at your location.
