This three-day workshop (two additional sessions May 17th and 18th at Fisherman’s Landing, Rocky Harbour) will bring together students, researchers, practitioners and community members to examine the impacts of climate change on coastal communities, specifically extreme weather and rising sea levels, particularly in Gros Morne and Western Newfoundland. These discussions are framed by the recently initiated national assessment on climate change impacts and risks, coordinated by the Climate Change Impacts and Adaptation Division of Natural Resources Canada.

The workshop will include a keynote address by Liette Vasseur, 10 paper presentations, two break-out sessions, a roundtable, and a youth forum.

All sessions are open to the public and will be live-streamed. To register, please contact cconnors@grenfell.mun.ca.

Hosted by Office of Engagement, Grenfell Campus and Gros Morne Cooperating Association.
