Member Showcase Reception

The Corner Brook Port Corporation will be hosting our first Member Showcase reception, providing attendees with an update of the activities of the Corner Brook Port Corporation. As well, guest speaker Mr. Bill Carter will be discussing the success of the SmartBay project in the area of Placentia Bay.
The SmartBay project provides customized weather and sea state forecast information through the website www.smartbay.ca. The information is updated four times daily. Fisher persons, shipping companies, and other users in the area routinely access this resource, helping them make better decisions about their operations in the Bay. Mr. Carter will be discussing the success of the SmartBay project to-date and the future potential of the Corner Brook Port.
Attendance is free. Refreshments will be provided.
