Conrer Brook Port Corporation is a community-based, community-controlled not for profit corporation.  The mandate is to provide high quality transportation facilities for Western Newfoundland and Southern Labrador and to pursue projects which will stimulate economic development.  The Port of Corner Brook was divested from Transport Canada in 2004.

As a sheltered, deep water port which is accessible year-round, the Port of Corner Brook is ideally situated for industrial projects.  The port, located 35 km inland from the Gulf of St. Lawrence, is geographically well poistioned for shipping to/from markets in Eastern Canada, the Northeast United States, Western Europe and is a gateway to Labrador and Northern Canada.  Currently, Corner Brook is the island port of call for the winter Labrador ferry service which arrives three times per week from Blanc Sablon, QC during the winter months.

Corner Brook Port Corporation owns a number of properties along the Corner Brook waterfront.  Several buildings currently have space available for lease. 85 Riverside Drive is a large building featuring high bay warehouse space, offices and ample space for industrial or commercial operations.  The R.A. Pollett Building at 61 Riverside Drive, a Class A office buidling, features fantastic views of the Bay of Islands, spacious office suites with large windows, plenty of parking and a large boardroom on the second floor which is available for tenant use. Two suites (1000 sq. ft and 670 sq. ft.) are available for lease immediately.  Call (709) 634-6600 for details or to arrange a viewing.

The Port of Corner Brook receives a number of port calls from cruise lines annually.  Most of the cruise ships visiting Corner Brook arrive in the fall to enjoy the fantastic fall foliage.  Cruise tourism benefits the city and the Western region as passengers visit local attractions, utilize local transportation, sample local cuisine, shop in local stores and visit points beyond the City including the Bay of Islands and Gros Morne National Park.  The 2013 cruise schedule can be found online at www.cornerbrookport.com.
